A website with Iron Horse Branding will meet current web building suggestions, be clean and professional and easy to navigate for potential clients. Along with a professional modern looking desktop site, your site will also be mobile friendly and compliant. Below you will find a break down from our discussion.
DOMAIN:
You currently own your domain so there would be no fee for this. Unless you wanted to move to my registrar and let me manage. This is always an option, but not needed.
HOSTING | $240/yr:
This is a yearly reoccurring fee. Web hosting is the process of renting or buying space to house a website on the World Wide Web. Website content such as HTML, CSS, and images (which is the foundation of a website) has to be housed on a server to be viewable online. Hosting only stores your code / website and does NOT include updates / maintenance issues on the website itself. I will however handle any hosting / tech related issues on the hosting side at no charge to you.
Comes w/ up to 6 email accounts that can be integrated with outlook / G-suite or any other major email platform.
Hosting comes with basic brute force security which helps prevent unauthorized users from forcing their way into your website and adding harmful code. If you are looking for more in depth security, please contact me and we can find a solution to fit your needs. I handle hosting tech issues at no charge to you.
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT BUILD | $1,850:
This fee includes up to 10 STATIC pages. Additional pages beyond the 10 will be billed at $200 each and added to end bill. If 10 pages are not used, they do not roll over after project completion and approval. After project completion and going live, new pages will need to be purchased.
This fee does NOT include specialty plugins / modules / features that may require in depth coding, paid functionality, licensing fees or paid features to be covered by me. If these are requested it will be discussed either in person or via email and approved via email communication with a decisive plan on who will purchase / pay and maintain. I may, depending on complexity of plugin / feature charge an hourly rate of $65 to install or set up feature / plugin / module. This will be approved by all parties before work is done.
WEBSITE MAINTENANCE (Optional) | $1,000/yr:
Web Maintenance (1 yr) covers keeping the website updated, current and working. I make sure core files are updated, plugins are updated and theme files are updated and compatible. I monitor site for errors, broken links or anything else that may cause issues within the website. I keep back ups of website in case of issues where a revert is needed.
Essentially we do the following:
1. Content Updates
Regularly updating content is crucial to keeping information on your website relevant and valuable. This includes updating product/service information, and ensuring that any time-sensitive content is current. Fresh and engaging content can also positively impact your search engine rankings.
2. Security Checks
Security checks involve regularly auditing your website for potential vulnerabilities. This includes checking for outdated software, plugins, and other components that may have security issues. Implementing SSL certificates, using strong passwords, and monitoring for suspicious activities are essential for maintaining a secure website. While we can never guarentee your site won’t get hacked or spammed, we do our best to monitor and use basic brute force plugins to help monitor and detour malicous intent.
3. Backup and Recovery
Regularly backing up your website data is crucial in case of unexpected issues such as server crashes, hacking attempts, or accidental data loss. Having a robust backup and recovery plan ensures that you can quickly restore your website to a previous state if needed.
4. Software Update
Keeping your website software up to date is vital for security and performance. This includes updating your content management system (CMS), plugins, themes, and any other software used on your website. Updates often include security patches, bug fixes, and new features.
5. Broken Link and Error Checks
Regularly scanning your website for broken links, 404 errors, and other issues helps maintain a smooth user experience. Broken links negatively impact SEO and user satisfaction. Implementing redirects and fixing broken links ensures that visitors can easily navigate your site.
6. Mobile Responsiveness
With the increasing use of mobile devices, ensuring that your website is responsive is crucial. Responsive design allows your site to adapt to different screen sizes, providing a seamless experience for users on smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
7. Load Time Optimization
Optimizing the load time of your website is essential for user experience and SEO. Compressing images, leveraging browser caching, minimizing scripts, and optimizing code can significantly improve page load times, reducing bounce rates and improving search engine rankings.
DISCLAIMER
While we strive to keep everything up to date and current, hacking does happen and we are not responsible for damage hackers or malware may cause. This is why we maintain backups. If hacking / spam attacks or malware are a known issue for you or something you feel may be an issue please contact me for a more robust security solution. No one can 100% prevent attacks, but we can do our best to detour and secure.
*Web maintenance also covers 1 hour of updates per month (time does not roll over to next month). Updates include text, content, images or any non structural changes.
Local SEO – Search Engine Optimization
LOCAL SEO – SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION | $2,388/yr (comes out to $199/month)
This is for your yearly purchase / renewal for Local SEO citation builder services.
Local SEO is the practice of optimizing a business’s web presence for increased visibility in local and localized organic search engine results. Proximity, prominence, and relevance are the three pillars of local search. Local SEO employs a wide array of technical and creative efforts to convince search engines that a business should be prominent in their results as a relevant answer to online searchers in close proximity to each business location. One of the major steps a business can take is listing your business and it’s information online in directories and voice search directories. We also make sure duplicate / harmful directories / listings are removed or corrected.
Whether you’re a local business owner or marketer, one of the most actionable ways to think of integrating local SEO is as a form of customer service, which ensures nearby online searchers can find, like, connect with, and choose your local business.
Your business will be listed in all the available high ranking directories and aggregator networks including GPS networks. Aggregator descriptions Below.
FOURSQUARE:
Foursquare provides location data to over 150,000 partners which includes mapping services of apps such as Uber, Apple Maps, Airbnb, Spotify, Snapchat, Twitter, and Bixby on Samsung phones.
Submitting to Foursquare will push your business information to some of the most widely used apps in the world and on Foursquare’s own mobile apps: Foursquare City Guide and Swarm.
DATA AXLE:
Data Axle is a leading provider of local business data offering 300+ data points about almost every business in the US and Canada–that’s over 17 million businesses!
Data Axle’s reach includes major online directories, vehicle navigation apps, internet Yellow Page sites (which are unavailable for direct submission), smart speakers, mobile apps and directory-assistance (411) services.
Once a listing has been verified with Data Axle, further updates can be published in real time, which is great for businesses that need to make frequent updates to their opening hours or other data.
NEUSTAR:
Neustar’s local search solution is built around True Identity™, a proprietary platform that enables businesses to update data on over 100 local search platforms, mobile applications, navigation systems, and directories. Neustar’s network includes MapQuest which is unavailable for direct submissions.
YP NETWORK:
Yellow Pages remains one of the most trusted names in business listings. Together with DexKnows and Superpages, this listing network boasts 80 million users per month and forms a powerful channel to get your business noticed by prospective customers.
GPS NETWORK:
Consumer interactions with businesses and places around them has changed drastically over the last decade, and the shift towards on demand, ‘at your door’ services is growing.
GPS Network helps you quickly optimize for this, ensuring that your business can be precisely located by service providers and consumers on five of the most widely used navigation apps.
DISCLAIMER: As always, there is no guarantee with Local SEO that your business will gain ranking, gain clients or increase profitability. There is no guarantee it will generate traffic of any kind. SEO is simply the process of saturating local directories with your business information, keeping that information consistent and removing harmful duplicate listings to try and stack the odds in your favor. Local SEO is a long term game of consistency and relevance.
This is a non-refundable service for any reason.
ON-SITE SEO | Included w/ Local SEO plan:
What it is:
On-site SEO focuses on optimizing elements within your website to make it more appealing to search engines and users.
Why it’s important:
By optimizing your website’s content and structure, you can improve its relevance to search queries, making it more likely to rank higher in search results and attract more organic traffic.
- Key elements:
- Content: Creating high-quality, relevant, and engaging content is crucial.
- Keywords: Strategically incorporating relevant keywords into your content, title tags, meta descriptions, and URLs helps search engines understand what your page is about.
- Title Tags: These are the clickable titles that appear in search results and should be optimized with relevant keywords.
- Meta Descriptions: These are short summaries that appear under the title tag in search results and should entice users to click.
- Headings (H1, H2, etc.): Use headings to structure your content and highlight important information, incorporating keywords where appropriate.
- Internal Linking: Linking to other pages on your website helps search engines understand the relationship between different pages and improves user navigation.
- URLs: Use descriptive and keyword-rich URLs to help search engines understand the content of your page.
- Image Optimization: Optimize images with descriptive alt text and file names.
- Page Speed: Ensure your website loads quickly, as page speed is a ranking factor.
- Mobile-Friendliness: Make sure your website is mobile-friendly, as search engines prioritize mobile-friendly sites.
WICKMAN CONSTRUCTION SEO AUDIT
An audit is simply the act of finding where your website sits, organicially for certain keywords within a geographical location. I could show you detailed reports, but what ultimately matters is if someone, in your area / or searching for a service IN your area can find or locate you. Here is how I went about with my audit. I used Google Chrome in Incognito mode and searched the following terms as if I was a potential client. I used incognito as it hides any previous searches you may have done that would influence where you sit within the search engines. If you search from Google in normal mode, it has learned your search history and will populate results based on your previous searches and will not provide true page ranking. It is important to NOT click on any link when doing this search as it will influence your results. We want organic results generated only by what Google can find and read, not biased by your search history. You can see / and replicate the results below yourself.
Search Terms:
Construction Companies Minocqua – VIEW RESULTS (I built TASC which shows up on page 1)
Home Builder Minocqua – VIEW RESULTS
New Construction Minocqua – VIEW RESULTS
Landscaping Minocqua – VIEW RESULTS
General Contractor Mincoqua – VIEW RESULTS
Excavation Services Minocqua – VIEW RESULTS
Real Estate Minocqua – VIEW RESULTS
As you can see by the resluts, you are not found and therefore invisible to potential customers. I went to page 3 for each of the above searches and you were not found / visible. If you are not being found it means you are not getting that business. While I cannot guarentee ranking of any sort, what I can guarentee is if you do not have an SEO plan you will remain invisible. Being invisible to search engines means your competition is getting your business.
MY ASSESSMENT
Your website is outdated and does not meet SEO requirements to rank for any specific service. In short each major service needs to have it’s own dedicated page so that Google can recognize content and push that SPECIFIC content / page to potential clients. Your site has all it’s services combined in one page, essentially rendering all your services mute in Googles eyes. Google provides us best practice suggestions, they include but are not limited to, a dedicated service / keyword per page, word count, tags, images and quality content.
Your other isssue is you have another unrelated service on the same website. You have a Real Estate service included with excavating and construction. This according to Google is low quality content and services that are not within the same industry. While Google doesn’t prevent you from doing that, they do not view it as relevant or high quality content and will not push it to potential clients.
SOLUTION
Wickman needs to have 2 separate websites. One dedicated completely to Construction related services and another website completely dedicated to Real Estate. Both sites need to have a Local SEO plan, you can see by the results you are generating little to no traffic from search results.
